Those of you who know me will know that I rarely get into anything casually. It’s usually all or nothing for me. Fly fishing has been no exception. A few guys in my church are fly fisherman, and they’ve succeeded in pulling me into it.
Consequently much of my spare time has been taken up with reading about all things fly fishing, especially fly fishing on the South Platte. There’s definitely a steep learning curve. For anyone who might be interested, my friend Tim Blanks loaned me the book pictured here, and it’s a treasure trove of great information specific to the South Platte. I suppose this is more or less a confession. I’ll try to make a concerted effort to pry myself away from reading about all things fly fishing, and will hopefully be posting again in the near future.
