CORNERSTONE

God's word critiques us, not the other way around. It is no empty word for us, but our very life (Deuteronomy 32:47). The Bible presents a living, unified, and transforming message of God's relentless pursuit of his people in love. Since God has revealed truth in his word, and since he has specifically revealed what pleases him, we need to attend to his word in our worship. We are transformed by the renewing of our minds, and our minds are transformed through his word. Then we will know the truth and the truth will set us free (John 8:32). Far from abandoning the Bible in these times, the church needs God's word now more than ever.  <<BACK>>
